TCGAKKI by the Numbers

Gender Breakdown of Customers

We get the impression that most electric guitar and electric Bass players are men. In recent years, however, partly due to the influence of manga and anime, more women are taking up these instruments. As for wind instruments, many players belong to orchestras or other ensembles, so the gender ratio is roughly equal.

Customer Age Groups

For electric guitars and electric basses, it seems that many customers in their 30s to 50s started playing due to the band boom, while acoustic guitars tend to be played more by older customers. For
wind instruments, perhaps because many players are active in school clubs or orchestras, our customer base spans a wide range of ages, from students to older adults.

Company Job Roles

Each sales floor has dedicated staff members (specialists) who are experts in the instruments sold there. In addition to sales staff, we also have store managers, team leaders, and repair technicians. Furthermore, we have administrative staff—including those in accounting, public relations, and planning—who work behind the scenes to support TCGAKKI.

Staff Commute Times

The average commute time is 50 minutes. Many staff members commute not only from within Tokyo but also from Kanagawa, Saitama, and Chiba; the vast majority have a door-to-door commute of less than one hour. Compared to typical companies and businesses, our workday starts a little later, allowing staff to avoid rush-hour traffic and commute at a more leisurely pace.
