The D-41 was introduced later than the D-45, debuting in 1969.
It was produced to offer Martin's top-of-the-line model at an affordable price point while inheriting the luxurious features of the D-45.
The Martin vertical logo, hexagon inlay made from abalone shell, and rosette & purfling exude a luxurious aura, symbolizing the top-tier 40 series.
Another key feature is that only high-grade wood is selected and used throughout the 40 series.
The 1970 D-41 features a German spruce top, Indian rosewood sides and back, and a scalloped X bracing that produces a beautiful, rich tone with both brilliance and depth.
