Gibson / 1967 B-25
"The small-body model following the LG-2/LG-3"
In 1962, alongside minor changes to the LG-2 and LG-3, the B-25 model appeared.
In its first year, the sunburst-colored LG-2 was released as the B-25, while the natural-colored LG-3 was released as the B-25N. Around 1965, the cherry-colored B-25 appeared.
—A Rare Specimen Retaining Its Rich Red Hue
Constructed with spruce and finished in cherry, this instrument retains its beautiful red hue even after nearly 60 years.
Given the limited number of B-25s in circulation, a cherry-colored B-25 is surely a rare find?

Mahogany is used for the sides and back, finished with a reddish lacquer to match the top's coloring.

The pickguard was changed to the thicker, larger pickguard style introduced after 1963.
The pickguard material also changed from celluloid to plastic.

The fingerboard is made of Brazilian rosewood, and the narrow neck specification with a nut width of approximately 39mm is another significant feature.
For reference, this is about 3.5mm narrower than the 42.5mm nut width found on a 1964 LG-1.

The rosewood upper bout bridge, unlike the airy feel of a plastic bridge, produces vibrations that spread throughout the entire body and resonates with bold, powerful bass tones.

The neck is made of mahogany, featuring a well-balanced shape that is neither too thick nor too thin.

The headstock features Gibson's silk-screen logo and a simple design, similar to the LG-1, 2, and 3.

It is equipped with KULUSON DELUXE triple tuners.

While there are some scratches and dents here and there, it's a well-maintained piece, including the finish.
If you're looking for a cherry-colored B-25, be sure to check out this one.
