Explanation
Gibson / 1965 B-25N
The definitive B-25N, retaining the distinctive specifications characteristic of the mid-1960s. The combination of a plastic bridge and adjustable saddles produces a unique tone and texture.
The B-25N is the natural finish version of Gibson's small-body B-25 model, introduced in 1962. This particular instrument was made in 1965 and features a molded plastic bridge with adjustable saddles. Its appearance is also part of its charm, showcasing a deepened natural color over the years, beautifully displaying weather checking and sun fading.
The sound, produced by the combination of a plastic bridge and adjustable saddle, is lighter in mass compared to a wooden bridge and conveys vibrations with a different nuance. This creates a unique attack and compression in the tone. The quick response characteristic of a small body and the dry, mid-focused sound deliver the light, lo-fi texture typical of Gibsons from this era.
