Masiko's Entry: "SPEED STAR"
⭐️Congratulations⭐️
Guitar Magazine Award
Kazushi Kimura’s entry: “ONE FUZZ MK3 Si Ge MOD”
Not only did the creator replace the transistors with silicon for improved convenience, but they also swapped in germanium transistors—a feature that will impress even the most die-hard fuzz enthusiasts—allowing users to enjoy the difference in tone. This unit presents the possibilities of analog technology from a fresh perspective. I can’t wait to swap out different types and try them out!
BARKS Award
"Cool Face" by Kanaru Gomibako
It’s common knowledge that vacuum tubes—and indeed, various components and electronic parts—change their characteristics with temperature, which in turn affects the sound. However, I sensed the spirit of a solitary enthusiast in this creator’s wild obsession with pinpoint-tuning germanium transistors. Is this serious or just completely out there...? We pay tribute to this bizarre creation—Effector, which features temperature control—and hereby award it the BARKS Award.
Moridaira Gakki Award
A work by the Eternal Beginner: "Monster Jr."
As a sneaker lover, I was intrigued by the idea of using a child’s shoe as the Effector’s housing (cover?), which is why I selected this entry. It’s great how the mini pedal fits snugly inside the shoe. I thought it would be fun to create a pedalboard filled with Effectors made from repurposed shoes.
Arai Trading Award
22incr's Entry: "Excited Muff"
Part of it is that I personally love the Big Muff, but I was simply blown away by the design. I’m a sucker for anything mechanical… Just looking at it gets me excited.
AKIMA & NEOS Award
unaguitar’s entry: “Mikan Squeezer”
In recent years, Effector has seen a lot of digital gear, and it’s become physically harder to modify. Yet there are still many die-hard modders here, and I wonder if it’s really a good thing that this event has turned into a technical showdown. That said, this “Mikan Squeezer” is just an old kit—it’s hardly a modification beyond changing the exterior based on a flash of inspiration for the name. However, I felt it was a very important entry for this contest because it shows that you can enter even if you don’t understand the technical intricacies. At the same time, the kit includes some excellent ideas, like removing the back cover of the L-shaped horn plug and attaching it to the chassis, which really caught my attention. Its practicality is also beyond reproach. I selected it because I believe this truly represents the essence of Effector.
Studio Penta Award
ATC’s entry: “Gaming Wah for Arcade”
Both "guitar" and "game" are verbs: "Play." Perhaps their essences are quite similar. Recommended for two players.
Birdland Award
By Shiroto no Futenbiya: "iPhone Mod Multi Effector"
We selected this entry because the case immediately catches the eye with its "Could it be an iPhone!?" look, while also being a practical multi-Effector.
Solid Bond Award
Robotta’s entry: "DoGTaGFuzz"
The name is cool! It’s simple to use and has a great fuzz sound—nice!
Kyōritsu Corporation Award
"Excessive DIY"’s entry: "Elehamo Dedicated Battery Case"
One of the best "instant punchlines" in the history of the Modification Contest! The moment I saw the divine, gleaming figure of Mike Matthews, I was convinced that, as an EHX distributor, I had no choice but to select this item. Brilliant! I’m personally looking forward to future developments, such as models with more dynamic contrast or color variations, thanks to that shine!
Kikutani Music Award
"Ordinary Bass OverDrive" by Jigoku no Yotsugen
As a bassist, this was a product that made me want to actually try playing it. I also thought it fit this contest’s theme perfectly.
The theme is "How to Enjoy Effector"
Feel free to submit your ideas—we look forward to hearing from you!
