This Grand Prix winner was ultimately selected by TCGAKKI staff, referencing the results of the public web vote where many people cast their votes. The theme this time was "Effector Ways to Enjoy It." We received various comments like: "I thought it was a wah pedal!" "Using a key to turn it on is just like a car!" "What situation would you use this in?" "Perfect as a child's toy!" Its utterly bizarre and fascinating nature, which instantly catches the eye, earned it many accolades, and it brilliantly won the Grand Prix!
Second Modified Effector Contest Judging Results Announced!

Masiko's Work "SPEED STAR"
⭐️Congratulations⭐️
Guitar Magazine Award
Kazushi Kimura's creation: "ONE FUZZ MK3 Si Ge MOD"
Not only does it pursue convenience by swapping transistors for silicon, but it also lets you swap out germanium transistors to enjoy different tones—a spec that will make any fuzz freak drool. This unit presents analog possibilities from a fresh angle. I want to try swapping in all kinds!
BARKS Award
The Combustible Waste Bin's Work: "Cool Face"
It's common knowledge that vacuum tubes, various components, and electronic parts change characteristics with temperature, ultimately affecting sound. But targeting germanium transistors with such intense focus reveals a dangerous obsession—a truly solitary maniac's spirit. Serious or just plain crazy... We salute this bizarre work, Effector that manages temperature, and hereby award it the BARKS Prize.
Moridaira Musical Instrument Award
Perpetual Beginner's Work "Monster Jr."
As a sneaker enthusiast, I was drawn to and chose this product because it turns children's shoes into Effector enclosures (covers?). I really like how the mini pedals fit snugly inside the shoes. I thought it would be fun to make a pedalboard entirely out of shoes reused as Effector enclosures.
Arai Trading Award
22incr's work "Excited Muff"
Personally, I love Big Muffs, but I was simply blown away by the design. I'm a sucker for mechanical things... Just looking at it gets me excited.
AKIMA&NEOS Award
In recent years, Effector has seen an increase in digital items, and physically modifying them has become less straightforward. Yet, many skilled modders gather here, and I wonder if this space becoming a technical showdown is really a good thing? That said, this "Mikan Squeezer" isn't just a simple modification like changing the exterior based on a flash of inspiration for the name, using an old kit. I felt it was a very important entry for this contest because it shows that even if you don't understand overly complicated things, you can still submit something here. At the same time, this kit has some really great ideas, like removing the back cover of the L-shaped horn plug and attaching it to the chassis, which really made me go "Wow!"Its practicality is also beyond reproach. I chose it because this truly embodies the essence of Effector.
Studio Penta Award
ATC's work "Gaming Wah for Arcade"
Both guitar and gaming are "Play" in the verb sense. Their essence might be similar. Recommended for two players.
Birdland Award
Shiroto's Handyman Service's creation: "iPhone Modified MultiEffector"
We selected this entry for its practical multi-Effector functionality, while its casing immediately captivates with its "Could it be an iPhone!?" visual appeal.
Solid Bond Award
Robotta's creation "DoGTaGFuzz (Dog Tag Fuzz)"
The name is cool too! Simple to use, and that fuzz sound is awesome!
Kyōritsu Corporation Award
The Over-the-Top DIY Masterpiece: "Electro-Harmonix Dedicated Battery Case"
This has to be one of the most hilarious first impressions in the history of the Effector Contest! The moment I saw the divinely shining Mike Matthews, I knew as an EHX distributor I had no choice but to pick this item. Brilliant! I'm personally looking forward to future developments like models with more contrast due to the shine or color variation models!
Kikutani Music Award
Hell's Four-String Master's Work: "Ordinary Bass OverDrive"
As a bassist, this piece made me want to actually play it. I also thought it fit the theme well.
The theme is "How to Enjoy Effector"
Feel free to propose ideas—we're looking forward to them!
