About
the Selection/Judging Process

First Round: Photo Screening
Second Round: In-Person Screening

The first round of judging is based on photographs. We look forward to receiving entries that showcase your unique personality, such as innovative ideas or visually appealing designs.

Entries that pass the first round will advance to the second round. Entries must be brought to or shipped to TCGAKKI by September 23, 2026, and we must be able to hold onto them until the results are announced.
(If your entry wins a prize, it will be displayed at TCGAKKI for one month afterward.)

Entry Requirements

Anyone may enter as long as the entry aligns with the theme of this contest.
As long as the modification is based on your own idea, it does not necessarily have to be entirely built by you.
Since we will feature the submitted entries on our official YouTube channel, only works that are permissible for public display will be accepted.
Please note that entries that may infringe on the copyrights of others (such as those using copyrighted illustrations or brand logos without permission) may be disqualified.

Tips for Winning

Every guitarist cares deeply about sound. Modifications aimed at achieving that are important and could be considered the primary factor to focus on. However, since the purpose of this contest is to “customize guitars so we can all enjoy them together! Let’s show them off to everyone!”, customizations that do not result in visible changes to the guitar’s appearance will, unfortunately, be excluded from consideration.

While sound is certainly an important element—and customizing a guitar without altering its appearance is indeed a testament to one’s skill—we believe it would be inappropriate to judge entries solely on sound modifications and rank them accordingly. We ask for your understanding on this matter.

The concept here isn’t to compete in modification skills, but rather to “enjoy your guitar with creative ideas!” Even if you simply stick on some stickers, you could still win the Grand Prize if your sense of style is outstanding!
