TCGAKKIThe judging results for the Modified Guitar Contest, selected solely by the judging committee, are now announced. The overwhelming number of entries far exceeded our expectations, and the high quality made judging truly difficult. This project began with the idea of "laughing and having fun." While some entries were so incredibly high in quality that they unfortunately missed out on winning, the entire staff seriously deliberated over every single entry and thoroughly enjoyed the process.
To everyone who applied, thank you very much.

Mr. Kohei's Work

A bold creation featuring a W-neck design for enhanced performance. The striking two-tone color scheme delivers a visually stunning impact. The sheer absurdity of both sides having identical specifications is precisely the kind of fun you get with a custom-built guitar.

Works by Yuji Oka

A Stratocaster featuring a lever-style volume stopper that engages with a notch inside the knob, allowing volume adjustment at your preferred position. While not flashy, this is a nice idea with a specification that appeals to connoisseurs and should be useful for players who prioritize volume control.

Works by R.K.

This year's Design Award saw fierce competition with many outstanding entries. This piece stood out for its unique yet simple design and retro feel. The unique layout featuring four front pickups also perfectly complements the overall aesthetic.
Impact Award Winners' Works

Ichiro's work "Yodotomishi"

A bold creation featuring a hole drilled into the top of an acoustic guitar, transforming it into a resonator. The use of a pot lid for the resonator section and a harmonica for the bridge is uniquely artistic, complemented by the body top's matching paintwork.

Noriyuki's Work

This piece features a TEJ and Shell Top docked together. The meticulously applied shell inlay radiates the artist's passion. Its luxurious look is impressive, yet it's also admirable that it cost very little to create.

The Works of Salam Sobh

An 18-string sitar-style guitar! This masterpiece was created by cutting off a warped, unplayable neck and reborn as a square-neck instrument. It's a work overflowing with the passion of a slide player who loves Indian music.

SHUTA's Work

The Happy Smile Award, formerly known as the Big Laugh Award. This time, many entries were truly serious pieces, and calling them "big laughs" would have been disrespectful. Among them, this work brought joyful smiles to viewers. It boldly cuts an LP-style guitar and transforms it into a travel guitar that looks like pure fun. I thought this kind of free-spirited creativity is the very essence of the joy found in modifying guitars.

Works by MINAMI

What a violin! It's the familiar Blue Flower finish, but it looks so fresh on a violin. It has such a cheerful vibe, doesn't it?

yutakarocks's work

A striking piece inspired by a shield motif. It matches the costume perfectly.

Greer Texas's work 'THE TEXAN'

This piece was created with Johnny Winter in mind, and it's overflowing with Texas spirit.

To all applicants,

We received many other uniquely creative submissions, and selecting the winners was truly agonizing. While we thoroughly enjoyed reviewing all the wonderful entries, we never anticipated how difficult the judging process would be. We extend our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to every single participant. This contest proved to be exceptionally rewarding. If it receives a positive response, we hope to organize a second edition in the future. We sincerely appreciate your continued support.
