Keisuke's work: Ping Pong Generator

Description of the work
This piece was inspired by a chime button found in an electronics parts store. It can output a chime sound.
The tuner, which was a junk item that the user happened to find, became the casing.
The LEDs light up dramatically when the chime is turned on, but it doesn't function as a tuner. It's full of playful features, such as being able to change the pitch of the "ping" and "pong" sounds with a knob, and it's fun just to play with it.

Many praised its fun nature, with comments such as "It's fun," "The concept is amazing," "The fact that it can't be used as a tuner is the key," and "The way it lights up unnecessarily is great," and it was awarded the grand prize.
It was a truly imaginative and unconventional idea that no one else would have thought of, and a work that everyone could enjoy.

An over-the-top DIY project: Digital? Delay

The idea of incorporating vintage capacitors into a standard digital component is excellent.
The slightly retro look, reminiscent of food samples from the Showa era, is also a plus.
I'd love to experiment with how the warmth and richness of the sound change within a band ensemble!
I wish they'd do this for other models too!

Among the 30 entries, each overflowing with original and outlandish ideas, the moment I saw the pickup sitting right on top of the effects pedal, I was convinced "this guy's crazy (lol)," and I immediately decided to award him the BARKS prize without hesitation.
That was a magnificent performance.

Everyone has their own way of showing love for muffs. Among them, I felt a kind of obsessive love in the approach of "decorating them with LEDs to make them sparkle," in addition to appreciating their sound and functionality.

I like things with this kind of pop look. Considering the recent demand from women, I feel like there might be a shift from cool to cute.
I want to cherish that kind of sensibility.

This time, modificationEffectorTherefore, this was the best because it dramatically changed the sound.
It seems difficult to actually use effectively, but the idea behind it was good.
The fact that it used a CDS component, and the clean finish, were also major plus points.

I chose this because the story of humanity discovering OD-2 in ancient ruins 12,000 years in the future is wonderful.
This work evokes the same sense of excitement I felt as a child when I was obsessed with Lego or engrossed in science fiction movies.
I would love for Steven Spielberg to direct a film adaptation of this.

What I liked most was that they not only improved usability by putting the turbo switch on the front, but also made it possible to more flexibly realize the ideal sound.
The exotic color scheme is stylish and has a strong presence.Effector That's what I thought.

The scale of their ideas is grand, and the fact that they're not confined to any particular framework is fantastic.

For someone over 60 like me, this rack is packed with nostalgic classic equipment!
With vinyl records experiencing a resurgence in popularity, there's a certain warmth and rawness to analog music.EffectorI was reminded of how great it is!

We have held three modified guitar contests since 2014.TCGAKKIBut, "If that's the case..."EffectorThe modification started with the thought, "Also."EffectorThe contest was a first-time event, and we were excited to see what kind of entries would be submitted. We received a lot of unique and unexpected submissions.

EffectorThe concept was to let people experience the joy of it, but there were so many works with unexpected ideas that I feel like I was the one who learned about these other ways of enjoying it.

All of the winning entries were fun and full of ideas, but the works we couldn't feature here were also full of love, making the selection process very difficult from the first round. The selection process was a truly enjoyable one. We would like to express our sincere gratitude once again to everyone who submitted an entry. Thank you very much.

Second round of judging: Physical examination

Please send photos and a description of the modifications via email.
Those who pass the initial screening will be contacted directly.
[Second round of judging]
The selection process will involve viewing the actual works selected from those that passed the initial screening.
WorksTCGAKKIYou must bring the item in person or submit it by mail, and it must be possible to try it out in-store.
(Your artwork will be returned to you after the results are announced and the winning entries are exhibited.)
The works that passed the first round of judging areTCGAKKIWe will introduce it in stores and on our official YouTube channel.
The grand prize winner will be determined by popular votes in stores and online, as well as by staff votes.
At the same time, our sponsoring companies will select the winners for each category.
The resultTCGAKKIIt will be published on the official website and on BARKS.

Application Requirements

Anyone can submit an entry as long as it's a modification based on their own ideas.
We also welcome modifications that only affect the appearance.
The ability to share the fun through videos is a major selling point, so we look forward to receiving your fun ideas.
