This product is an accessory known as a “strap ring” (official name: US MOLLE Strap Ring), a hook that can be used for a variety of purposes. It can be attached to the latest MOLLE-style body armor and vests still in use by the U.S. military today and is primarily used to secure rifles. The material complies with MIL-spec (U.S. military standards) and is rarely available to the general public.
We were fortunate enough to secure a direct contract with “ORDNANCE”—a company that manufactures equipment for U.S. Marine Corps and Army Special Forces units stationed in Okinawa—to produce THE Used Musical Instrument Store’s original strap rings.
This product is identical to those currently used by the U.S. military and features pre-embroidered blood type identification markings. These markings are intended to facilitate prompt blood transfusions in the event of injury during military service.
(Note: As these are U.S. military markings, they have no legal effect in Japan.)
The webbing is made from “WBCOR/100 Mil-W-43668 (MIL-Spec)” and is rated to withstand 1,900 lbs (approx. 860 kg).The fabric is available in two colors (black/green). The hook section, known as the “H&K Hook,” is a reinforced version designed specifically for rifle slings. Additionally, the “DOT Button” complies with MIL specifications.
