Caramel’s Guitar Kitchen—a Japanese handmade guitar brand from Fukuoka! Now available at TCGAKKI!!
Crafted one by one with meticulous care by a luthier who previously worked at a ramen shop, Caramel’s Guitar Kitchen guitars are built around the concept of “guitars unlike any others in the world,”
True to that concept, their distinctive checkered stitching around the headstock and body, along with the innovative V-shaped pickguard design, create a look you’ll never forget at first glance.
From the Caramel’s Guitar Kitchen lineup, the V2 and V3 models have just arrived!
The V2 is based on the company’s V1 model and features a TV-Jones Super Tron in the front pickup and a Seymour Duncan STL-1 in the rear pickup.
The Super Tron is unusually coil-tap-capable, allowing it to produce a distinctive sound.
The body is made of alder.
The V2 comes in different color variations; the V2 Paprika Red model we’ve just received features a maple fingerboard.
The V3, marketed as the “NEO ANTIQUE SERIES,” carries on the checkered stitching—the hallmark of the V1 and V2—while aiming for a more affordable price point. Cost savings were achieved by modifying the pickups and the finishing process.
The body is made of mahogany.
The pickups consist of a Roswell GoldFoil Alnico V in the front and a Japanese-made Alnico V in the rear.
The finish highlights the natural surface of the wood (including its texture and grain), using a wood sealer for minimal sealing and a thin layer of color to achieve a satin antique finish.
Because the finish is so thin, one of its distinctive features is that the more you play it, the more it takes on an antique-like appearance, just as the name suggests.
While offering excellent value for the price, it retains Caramel’s Guitar Kitchen’s distinctive design, sound, and attack, allowing you to fully experience the essence of CGK.
