The third "Ibanez" "Paul Stanley" signature model!
Hello, this is Karibe, m(__)m
We have received warm words of appreciation from our customers who read our last feature article, "Fresher" - A Masterpiece Ahead of Its Time. Once again, thank you very much for reading it. m(__)m!
So, I would like to spotlight another domestic masterpiece this time as well.
The guitar we are going to introduce this time is Ibanez (Ibanez/Ibanez), a brand launched in the 1950s by Hoshino Gakki, whose foundation began in the Meiji Era (1868-1912).
In 1962, Ibanez began full-scale production and sales of electric guitars, and expanded its business to the United States, Europe, and other countries around the world, mainly through imports. Along with the development of the incredible technical capabilities of Japanese electric guitars, the brand became known throughout the world for its perfection that is second to that of the original Fender, Gibson, and other brands. The brand is now well known around the world.
The initial lineup was a traditional copy style, but later on, the development of original models incorporating original ideas was promoted, and in the 1970s, the first original model, "AR (Artist)," was born.
Various original series were released after that, and in 1973, Ibanez released the "Artist Series" one after another, which determined the popularity of Ibanez with world famous guitarists such as George Benson, Paul Stanley, Bob Weir, and so on.
Among them, the one we pick up this time is...
Paul Stanley signature model of the famous rock band KISS!

Paul Stanley himself has used various guitars,
This guitar has been used on many stages since the 70's and is a familiar one to fans.♪
Let's take a quick look at the whole picture of the Polish guitar.
Body
This model, which is synonymous with him, is an Iceman body shape with a maple top/mahogany back.
In addition to the highly stable body balance that fits the body, the black color is a familiar and austere style!
Joint up
The neck is made of 3-piece maple wood with set-neck style joint.
This reduces stress in the high position and enables smooth fingering!
Back of the neck /Volute/Joint area
The head is shaped like an Iceman, with pearloid button pegs familiar from ARs and other models.♪
It matches with the overall silhouette.♪
Nut up / Rod cover up
Nuts combined with brass,
The rod cover has a signature printed on it.
Position markup/inlayup
Ebony fingerboard and block inlays with a combination of pearloid and avalon for position marks.
Also, "PAUL STANLEY" is written between the 20th and 21st frets!
Binding up
The binding has some age-appropriate color tanning and cracks, but combined with the inlays, it is gorgeous (**Ω)."
PU up
The pickups are powerful "V-2" open coil humbucker pickups.
Bridge / Tailpiece / Plate
The bridge is a "Gibraltar tailpiece bridge.
The plate under the tailpiece is also distinctive.♪
In addition to this model, reissued models "PS10-II" and "PS10LTD" appeared in the 1990s, but the original "PS10" has been rarely seen in the market in recent years.
With its impactful, innovative design and a style that will not fade away over the years, it is one that truly rocks!
This time, as in the previous issue... This is a collector's item.
Afterword
This issue of Ibanez PS10 has been created based on the catalogs of the time, magazines, the Internet, and customer feedback.
We hope to continue to create this section with the help of our customers.
This is a short section, but I would like to update it as soon as I find any unusual or interesting guitars!♪
Will there be a next time?
... Until next time, we will keep you posted........
