Hello!
This is Oda, in charge of TCGAKKIBass!
We are pleased to announce that TCGAKKI has begun carrying “16 Bass Guitars, ” a line created by professional bassist Ichiro Fujitani!
Fujitani is not only a professional bassist active in numerous live performances but also shares his knowledge with many bassists through his YouTube channel, “16 Bass Lesson,” and private lessons.
He is also a player who constantly experiments with and studies various Bass models on a daily basis.
Actually, he previously featured TCGAKKI in one of his videos, so we’ve had a connection ever since.
It is this very Mr. Fujitani who launched 16 Bass Guitars.
The brand’s concept is
"to deliver truly great Bass to as many bassists as possible."
What struck me when I actually played them was that, while I could sense a deep understanding of vintage Bass, he is by no means solely chasing after vintage models.
While the rich tone and unique character of vintage instruments are certainly appealing, they aren’t always the right fit for today’s music scene.
16 Bass Guitars is characterized by its ability to retain the best aspects of vintage instruments while crafting a sound that’s easy to handle in a live setting!
In preparation for carrying this model, we sat down with Mr. Fujitani for an in-depth interview!

We’ll be carrying these two items!

JIMINY JB Contemporary Model
This is a JB-style model.
While it features the classic spec of an alder body and rosewood fingerboard, the sound is crafted with a very modern sense of balance.
It has plenty of low-end presence, yet the low-mid range is tight.
It gives the impression that the core of the sound comes through clearly even within a band ensemble.
The controls—a master volume and a pickup balancer—are a bit unconventional, but the setup is actually quite simple.
They allow for intuitive operation and seem easy to handle even in a live setting.
By shifting the balance toward the front pickup, you can achieve a Precision-like thickness, giving the impression of a versatile instrument capable of handling a wide range of situations.

JIMINY PB Zenith
This is a PB-style model.
It retains the characteristic power of a Precision Bass, while featuring a low end that doesn’t bloat unnecessarily and a well-defined midrange.
The neck features a 38mm nut width, offering a slimmer feel than a standard PB.
Another appealing feature is its high playability, allowing even Jazz Bass users to switch between the two models without feeling any discomfort.
"I like the Precision, but sometimes I find it a bit tricky to handle."
This is the perfect guitar for those who feel that way.
This is the only one you can try out in Tokyo!
Please come by and give it a try!
