From around 1972, Keio Giken/Keio-GikenThis pedal was manufactured by (now KORG) and produces a mysterious effect!
This is a masterpiece model that, while essentially a wah-fuzz pedal with a massive housing, also produces a very unique effect called "SINGING." "SINGING" simulates the sound of someone singing, and the pitch can be controlled with the pedal. It can also be used with the fuzz on, but it's inevitably overpowered by the fuzz. The "SINGING" control adjusts the "SINGING" sound level, "FUZZ" adjusts the fuzz level, "TRAVELER" adjusts the original sound when the fuzz is off, and "PEAK" adjusts the peak of the wah. While this explanation alone probably doesn't give you a good idea of what kind of sound it will produce, I think "SINGING" will bring your singing level to levels where you're confident in your foot dexterity. The battery box cover on the back is a testament to the high level of Japanese craftsmanship. The internal circuit board is molded for some reason. It's a rare model, and it's rare to find one with the white rubber pedal cover still intact. This is a historic pedal from the early days of KORG, a company that would later become one of Japan's leading manufacturers!
*The pedal cover is made of rubber, but due to ageing it has deteriorated in some areas, so please handle with care.
