Santa Cruz / H Hawaiian Koawood
"Don't you think small guitars don't sound good?"
Santa Cruz, founded in 1976, has been producing high-quality Martin copies.
Widely known for being used by Tony Rice and Elvis Costello, they specialize in faithfully reproducing "Vintage Martin" guitars.

The model we are introducing today is a 2017 Hawaiian Koa wood model.
The Santa Cruz "H" model is based on the acoustic guitars of the 1930s,Basswith Santa Cruz's own unique arrangements.
Regarding this particular instrument, the spruce top has a very dense grain and a luxurious feel, but the most distinctive feature is the use of Hawaiian Koa wood with its exotic grain pattern for the body.

While Hawaiian koa-used acoustic guitars are no longer uncommon in recent years, their sound is still less familiar compared to mahogany/rosewood.

Despite its small body, comparable to a Martin 00 size, it produces a surprisingly dynamic sound with the crisp, natural tone characteristic of Hawaiian koa.
Its straightforward tone with well-balanced overtones may feel lacking for those accustomed to authentic acoustic guitars, but as a Japanese traditional instrument, it is an excellent high-end instrument with minimal tonal muddiness.
