Explanation
A powerful and versatile Ash/Rosewood JazzBass!
Ash body with rosewood fingerboard, neck binding, and block position markers. The dark brown sunburst finish around the edges, paired with Strat knobs, creates a distinctive look unique to this era.
Pot date: 1979. Pickup date is unclear, but legible as 1980, leading us to determine this guitar was made in 1980.
The sound is impressively powerful, with a standout low end. The punchy, forward-driving bass is characteristic of the weighty ash body, delivering a presence that can't be fully replicated by amp or Effector EQ alone. It never feels thin; alongside the rich bass, the rosewood fingerboard provides a sticky, resilient midrange, and the crisp highs all blend together in a well-balanced, wide-ranging sound. Its quick response is another major appeal. This Bass excels at both fingerstyle groovy phrases and percussive slap playing with razor-sharp precision!
There are slight indentations on the fingerboard near the 1st string 1st fret and near the 11th fret, but these do not affect playability.
※Neck and electronics have been maintained by our repair technician and are in good condition ※Action is set to approximately 1.8mm at the 12th fret ※All parts have been disassembled and cleaned
