Are you looking to experience the rich resonance of a solid ash body unique to late 1970s instruments?
Born by chance, the Antigua stands apart as a special presence within Fender. We understand your fascination with its unique burst color, where eccentricity and classicism coexist.
The rare Antigua color, born by accident. This 1978 specification model is one of the scarce variants released only briefly from 1977–1981. It has been modified to the original 5-way selector switch. The heavyweight ash body delivers a sound with clear contours and a distinctive character that cuts through distortion—a charm unique to this era.
Experience the fast attack and crisp response characteristic of this era's Stratocasters, the thick, dense midrange, and the piercing high end that cuts through even heavy distortion. The Antigua's mysterious look also gives it exceptional stage presence.
For those seeking a distinctive late-70s Fender, collectors of rare colors, or guitarists craving a Strat sound that cuts through from crunch to high-gain, this is undoubtedly the one that will resonate.
Antigua—a color born by chance that has become iconic over time. Experience its unparalleled character alongside the rich and vibrant sound of a '70s Stratocaster.
