For the sides and back, we’ve selected mahogany with a beautiful, shimmering grain pattern.
The sides also feature a flowing grain pattern.
—Top made from premium wood
European spruce is a premium timber sourced from the Alpine mountains of Central Europe.
It has a whitish hue and a wider grain than Sitka spruce, making it one of the finest woods alongside Adirondack spruce.
Additionally, quilted maple is used for the binding, creating a luxurious finish.
The top also features a bevel cut, which supports comfortable playing.
—OMEGA Fingerboard
A defining feature of the Merida is the OMEGA, which is resistant to humidity and environmental changes.
It is made by pressing wood and resin at high density, giving it an appearance reminiscent of ebony.
The fingerboard features dot position marks.
—Slim Taper Neck
The neck, crafted from flamed maple, features a slim profile, ensuring comfortable playability even with modern playing styles.
It allows for comfortable chord work even during strumming.
– OMEGA Bridge
The OMEGA bridge, crafted from the same material as the fingerboard, features a satin finish for a smooth, silky feel under the fingers.
- Headstock
The gloss-finished headstock is adorned with the Merida logo and shell-inspired lines.
- Tuning Machines
The gold Rotomatic tuner pegs feature buttons made from OMEGA material.
