Black Metallic Color SG3000!!

Based on the SG175 and incorporating feedback from numerous artists, the SG2000 was released in 1976 as Yamaha's flagship SG model at the time.

Then, entering the 1980s, Yamaha began developing a new flagship model embodying their ideal. Thus, the SG3000 arrived in 1982.

The SG3000 retained the T-Cross one-piece neck used on the SG2000, and its basic wood construction remained unchanged from previous SG models. However, it featured new changes in parts: the sustain block was eliminated, a newly developed narrow bridge was adopted, and Spinnex pickups were used. The narrow bridge has a slimmer appearance compared to the previous wide-travel bridge, and the distance to the tailpiece is also narrower than on the SG2000, adopting specifications that carry on the legacy of models like the SG175.
The newly developed Spinnex Pickup utilizes Spinnex magnets—a world-first practical application by YAMAHA—and nickel silver Bass plates. This design enhances high-frequency response while enabling delicate expression.
It also incorporates the Bi-Sound system featured on the SG1000, making it a model truly worthy of being the SG flagship.

It possesses a uniquely distinctive sound, delivering the signature straight tone of the SG2000 while also offering a subtle midrange presence reminiscent of a Les Paul!
