Explanation
Martin / 1992 D-18
This is a very cool-looking specimen with an overall sun-faded appearance.
When you actually hold it, it feels surprisingly light. At 1.90kg, it's not technically ultra-light, but it has a feel that makes you expect it to resonate beautifully.
And it delivers a truly exceptional sound that exceeds those expectations. It has a crisp attack, a lively, resonant tone, a rich midrange, and excellent volume. It's incredibly comfortable to play.
The neck features a substantial U-shape with a satisfying heft. The mahogany, revealing just a hint of flame, is also lovely.
Whether playing single notes with a robust tone or chord work with clear resonance, this instrument should prove invaluable for recording.
If you're considering a D-18, this is a guitar you should definitely try out.
