Explanation
Non-bridge pin style rare specimen
Gibson / 1977 J-40
A very rare non-bridgepin style square shoulder model from Gibson. It was only produced for a brief 12 years, from 1971 to 1982. This is a guitar that circulated during the era when the J-45 featured square shoulders and double X bracing.
After arriving at our shop, we performed neck reset and refret work. As a result, its playability is outstanding, the guitar's inherent potential is maximized, and it is now in a condition that allows for long-term, worry-free use. Experience a genuine 70s Gibson acoustic guitar.
Its sound is entirely distinct from the typical J-45 or Hummingbird, offering a hard, bright tone that's truly captivating.
You can also sense the character in the Schaller Flower Tuners, which were introduced in 1977, the same year this guitar was made.
For those who absolutely refuse to blend in with others in both look and sound, this is the perfect choice.
