Gibson / 1960 J-45
"A precious instrument that lets you enjoy its aging process"
The J-45 enjoys immense popularity among Gibson acoustics, needing no introduction.
This 1960 model is a rare specimen that underwent various specification changes.

—Beautiful black-to-yellow gradient
The spruce body features a finish close to a three-tone color scheme.
Over time, the red tones have faded, beautifully revealing a gradient from black to yellow.
The black has faded slightly, showcasing a beautiful, translucent brown-like coloring.
The sides and back feature tightly grained mahogany.
Finished in a natural color that preserves the wood's inherent beauty.
This wood creates the J-45's signature tightness and boldness.

The fingerboard is crafted from rosewood with beautiful grain.

The mahogany neck features a clean, comfortable neck shape for a pleasant grip.

The upper bout bridge features the ceramic adjustable bridge, standard since 1960.
The distinctive brilliance and airy sound are hallmarks of the adjustable bridge.

The pickguard specification changed from a small pickguard to a large pickguard starting in 1955.
Therefore, this instrument also features a large pickguard.
It boasts a beautiful, glossy finish.

The headstock features a Gibson silk-screen logo, enhancing the J-45's character.
A defining feature of this period is the 17-degree headstock angle, isn't it?

It features white-button Kluson triple-locking tuners.
While the tuners have been replaced, the previous owner's attention to detail is evident in choosing the same type to maintain the instrument's aesthetic.

This guitar has few major crack repairs and remains in exceptionally clean condition despite being nearly 70 years old.
Its bold yet straight-shooting sound is a defining characteristic, making it a joy to strum.
