Maki-e and Hon-Urushi lacquered Otsuzumi (large drum) torso at a discount price!
Outline
The body of an otsuzumi (large drum). There is no kaname on the inside of the upper and lower bowls. It is thought to have been made in the Showa period (1926-1989). The body only is for sale.
We are offering used skins to customers who have purchased an otsutsumi-bodo and wish to display it with the skins assembled. The number is limited, but please ask us for more information.
(Please note that used large hides have no utility at all.)
Condition
There are repair marks of cracks on a part of the Uke and a part of the windbreak (the border between the Uke and the nest). There are peeling of Maki-e and Urushi lacquer by rubbing on the outer edge of the leather mouth.
