[Features]
In 1986, the Super Action 80 Series II became the catalyst for Selmer reclaiming its dominance in the global saxophone market. One such instrument, manufactured in its debut year, has arrived in pristine condition, its brilliance undimmed. The Series II represents the pinnacle of Selmer tenor saxophones, achieving both a rich, expansive tone and stable intonation across the entire range. Among these, early production models feature a thicker tubing construction, producing a denser, lower-centered sound. This deep, resonant tone truly embodies the origin of Selmer's triumphant advance. This instrument is in superb condition, showing no signs of its age. It has undergone thorough internal and external cleaning, with all pads replaced with genuine Selmer CHANU metal resonator pads. The cork and felt have also been overhauled. Both its appearance and functionality are in a condition that promises a long, fulfilling relationship. With production now discontinued, opportunities to experience the sound and design philosophy of the Series II in its original form are limited. This instrument symbolizes Selmer's golden age. The next person to breathe life into it is you.
