TCGAKKIRegarding

Our store began in 1989 as a small shop called "Smash Hits," created by renovating the site of a former studio in Yutenji, Tokyo. Originally a sister store to Hyper Guitars, it primarily dealt in Fender, Gibson, and Bizarre instruments from the 70s onward.Later, when we relocated to Shin-Okubo (our current location), we renamed the shop "THE Used Instrument Store." We operated out of the second floor of an old apartment building, which had a pachinko parlor on the first floor. We knocked down the walls between a 6-tatami mat room and a 12-tatami mat room to create our store space.TCGAKKIThe name change to "..." occurred several years after moving to the current building.

Specialty store for used and vintage instruments: Guitars/BassWe currently carry approximately 6,500 items ranging from acoustic guitars to wind instruments and traditional Japanese instruments. Specialists with over 20 years of experience are stationed in each sales area, providing professional consultation and assistance with appraisals of used instruments, as well as addressing customer requests, concerns, and inquiries.

"Advance Guitars" isTCGAKKIWe are an independent vintage acoustic guitar specialty shop. In 2023, we became the first Japanese music store to publish a reference book on Gibson.
「Okubo GakkiFounded in 2013 as an independent store specializing in used and vintage wind instruments, we now operate as an agent for domestic and international suppliers, handling products from around the world.

As a term coined by our store, "Japan Vintage" was first used with respect by our staff at the time, who were quick to recognize the high quality of Japanese-made instruments, to distinguish them from the US vintage guitars purchased at American guitar shows in the 80s. Also, the "stone logo" used in the late 70s by the now-defunct Braverman Co., Ltd. was originally called "Ishi Nandesu" by us back then.

Our in-house repair team "TC-TUNEInstruments repaired, adjusted, and cleaned by us are not only displayed in our store, but we also tune and optimize instruments owned by professional and amateur players, as well as perform modifications, all based on our unique perspective and approach.

Our mission is to "rock your life with music."
For those who aren't satisfied with their current sound or gear setup, or who are searching for something better, we offer used, vintage,NewWe energetically pursue our daily activities with the goal of delivering the perfect solution for each customer from our extensive selection of thousands of products. By listening to your requests and circumstances, our specialized staff leverage their broad and deep expertise to ensure you feel "I'm glad I chose them" and "I'm glad I consulted them."

Currently, we directly sell new products in-store and online as authorized dealers for American brands such as "TMG Guitar" and "Bob Burt," as well as domestic brands like "Organic Sound" and many others.

Please sell your instruments!

We are currently accepting requests for instrument appraisals. Instruments are not consumable goods. Fine instruments do not lose value with use; rather, their true worth is revealed through playing.
We don't just seek brand-new instruments. As a shop specializing in used instruments, we don't base our appraisal solely on cosmetic flaws—we maximize the intrinsic value of each instrument. We take responsibility for purchasing your cherished instrument, ensuring it passes on to its next owner.

Recruitment Information

A music store where you can sincerely say "thank you" to each other

We always respect others, sometimes genuinely worry about them, and consider positive futures to make proposals and take action.

TCGAKKIWe are currently hiring staff. No experience necessary! Of course, experienced individuals and those currently working in the field are also very welcome.
This is your chance to challenge yourself and discover new possibilities. For experienced candidates, we are open to discussing terms and conditions.

We want to say, "We've found the ideal sound!" when we discover an instrument that makes us feel that way,We provide the kind of joy that makes you think, "Playing has become fun."

We don't want you to feel like you've made a mistake after starting a job, and we believe it's a shame to give up on work you find meaningful and rewarding.
Within the company, we often see ideas turn into products—like when someone introduced their hobby yo-yo to the president at a drinking party, and he actually collaborated with a store to make it happen. We also experience many moments of joy through our work, such as finding an instrument a customer was searching for and high-fiving them!

Our current employees are still learning too. Why not grow with us as we accumulate our customers' "thank yous"?
