A thick distortion with an edge. This RAT II was made in 1989!

As you turn up the distortion control, the low end gets heavier and the distortion becomes more saturated and the attack becomes crushed. The RAT II features fluorescent paint on the controller and LED indicators. The RAT II, equipped with Motorola's LM308N op-amp, has more lows and fuzz-like coarseness than the National Semiconductor LM308N of the same period. In fact, when I compared it with the current RAT II, I got the impression that the wall of distortion gradually became more massive as I turned up the distortion knob. Especially, the power of low chords was completely different.
