In the 2010s, Gibson Montana Factory and Kazuyoshi Saito teamed up to develop an artist model.
This model is a partial reproduction of Kazuyoshi Saito's partner "Model 1," a '68 J-45 Ebony Black.
The prototype was used in NHK's "Kohaku Uta Gassen" at the end of 2012, and became a topic of conversation.
Ebony Black was originally a rare color model that was available from 1967 to 1969 along with Cherry Red.
The white pickguard with screw-on closure is unique to this rare color model. The saddle screws on the adjustable bridge have been removed and the bridge is attached closely to the body, just as he did.
