Yairi Guitar has a long history, founded in 1935 as "Yairi Instruments Manufacturing Co.
Yairi established its position as a long-established brand "Made in Japan".
Since around 1970, Yairi Guitar has been committed to handcrafted production by a small number of elite craftsmen, and has released a number of masterpieces to the world.
The company offers a wide range of products, from entry-level and intermediate acoustic guitars to custom-ordered products.

This DY-CUSTOM was made in 2013.
Spruce top, rosewood side back, ebony fretboard and bridge are based on the D-28, but the rosette is made of Avalon to give it a high-class feel.
The neck shape is a soft V-shape, a little gentler than the original Martin, so even those who are not comfortable with V-shapes can easily get used to it.

The sound impression is quite different from that of Japanese-made guitars.
The low, mid, and high frequencies are all output softly and in perfect balance.
The sound pressure is strong, but the fact that it does not sound like an annoying noise even when hard picking is performed is quite favorable.

The picking is also very good, so it is comfortable as if you are playing a high-end acoustic.
I think this is one of the best pieces of guitar.

The satin finish has a little bit of paint lift, but there are no problems when playing.
The pegs have been replaced with Gotoh 510s, and the gold color of the satin finish is a perfect match.

- The neck and wood have been thoroughly inspected by a craftsman specializing in acoustic guitars, and no repairs are needed.
- The neck is straight and there are no chattering or clogging problems.
- String height on the 12th fret: 2.5 mm on the 6th string side, 2.0 mm on the 1st string side
- Saddle protrusion: approx. 2 mm
- Nut/saddle/peg replacement
- Endpin section extension/endpin replacement available
