Caliquio, a manufacturer from the U.S. West Coast, continues to captivate many trumpet players today.
However, due to its "external spring" piston design—a style rarely produced by any manufacturer—it requires thicker springs than standard trumpets. With limited spring options, achieving the right touch has been a challenge for Calicchio, but now the "Kubokan Custom Club" has solved that problem!
Based on the stainless steel springs used in mid- to late-model Recruit instruments, we have reissued these springs to deliver a light touch and clear high register. Whether your original springs have worn out from long-term use, third-party springs feel too heavy, or you simply want a spare set in case of breakage, why not try this set?

Although this is a very niche product, thanks to the many of you who have purchased it repeatedly, this spring—which we began manufacturing several years ago—has now reached its third generation.
Ver.1 offers a firmer feel than the original.
Ver. 2 prioritized sound projection, especially in the high frequencies, resulting in a lighter feel.
For Ver. 3, we’ve produced two versions: “Light,” which is slightly heavier than Ver. 2, and “Original,” which is slightly lighter than Ver. 1.
Whether you’re looking for a lighter, more responsive touch, or need a heavier spring because piston adjustments aren’t solving the problem—everyone has their own reasons for replacing springs. We hope this offers you another option to help resolve your concerns.
