Former Morris master builder Tadashi Yokoyama has established his own company, Yokoyama Ukulele, which has a strong fan base for acoustic guitars as well.

The top is made of white spruce and the side backs are made of aqua timber mahogany, a rare salvaged material from underwater.

With its concert size body and tenor size neck, it can be played without any discomfort even if it is switched from an acoustic guitar.

Although in tenor scale, it can be used in the same regular tuning as a soprano or concert, giving it a characteristic impression of a clear sound with a strong tension and a loud core.
