Yokoyama Guitars" was established by Tadashi Yokoyama who had a long career at "Morris". After a long career, he is still pursuing tonewoods, and his research as a researcher is also an appealing aspect of this brand.
This time, we would like to introduce the "AR-GC". This is an auditorium size (A) model with a round cutaway (R), and is one of the most popular shapes at Yokoyama. GC stands for German Spruce/Camatillo, and rare woods are used sparingly. The wood grain is everywhere you look, and you can tell that even the highest grade of wood has been selected. The woodworking technique is also a work of art that can only be described as superb, and it combines beauty and high playability at the same time.
The sound is set at a low string height for fingerpicking, and the high frequency component stands out. Of course, it is very easy to play fast phrases and in high positions, making it a strong ally for solo guitar playing.
We hope you will enjoy this beautiful looking and sounding Japanese high-end.
