The J-45 is one of Gibson's Jumbo-sized guitars, and although it is now nicknamed the Round Shoulder, its sloping shoulder shape makes it an iconic model.
Although it has been over 80 years since its introduction, the J-45 remains Gibson's signature model, incorporating Gibson's latest technology while retaining its traditional style.
The 2023 Japan Limited J-45 STD VOS was born as part of a limited-time lineup sold exclusively in Japan.
The J-45 Standard features a Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and Grover tuners.BassThis model features a natural color scheme and VOS (Vintage Original Spec) finish, which recreates the look of a finish that has been played with for many years, replacing the gloss lacquer finish.
I feel that the VOS specifications are unique in that the sound has a firmness and clear highs when played, and you can feel the wood vibrating.
Equipped with the LR Baggs VTC, which is also useful for band sounds, this is a guitar that is sure to be useful in real situations.
