The GIbson Q-80 was produced for only a short period of time!
GIbson's during Charvel's tenure in the 1980s.BassIt is.
The Q-80 from Gibson Custom Shop Edition has a Victory Bass body designed by Wayne Charvel and a humbucking PU of the type used in the Explorer Bass, making it a combination of the two! The Q-80 is a combination of the two.
The production period is said to be about two years, and it is a rare model that rarely appears on the market!
The Victory Bass had a maple body and Thunder Bird-like head, while the Q-80 has a mahogany body and Explorer-like head.
It has a long scale detachable neck and is a simple passive type with 2 volume/1 tone.
The sound is characterized by powerful and fat low-mids.
It has the warmth in the lows that is typical of mahogany bodies, but it is not blurred, so it will have a solid core sound even when distorted.
Although it is a rare model, the sound is a solid Gibson sound!
