1985 Ibanez AR305, a model in the legendary AR series with mahogany burl on the body top.
Ibanez appeared as a brand for overseas export by Hoshino Gakki, and around 1973, "The ARTIST SERIES", a guitar project to directly reflect players' voices in tie-ups with famous musicians, was launched, based on the double cutaway body shape of the regular target, The following year, a wide range of models were released with four-digit numbers as model numbers. In 1979, the AR series was released in Japan as a triumphant return from its high reputation overseas, with the model number AR, and from this period, the AR series was also released overseas. This 1985 AR305 is a mahogany barre model with a mahogany body top of the AR300, which was released in 1980. The mahogany body and mahogany neck set neck construction, and the use of mahogany for the body top also gives it a milder tone than the maple-top model. Controls include volume and tone for each pickup, a pickup selector toggle switch, and a tri-sound switch for each pickup. The tri-sound switch provides three different sounds: phase out, coil tap, and normal humbucking, giving you a wide variety of sounds. This model reaffirms the quality of the original construction that built the legend.
