1981 Les Paul Standard-80, a return to the roots, Heritage Series Les Paul Standard-80

The Heritage Series Les Paul Standard-80 is a 1980 revival of the Les Paul Standard, commonly known as the Burst, which was produced from 1958 to 1960 and given the highest rating. The Les Paul Standard-80 is a Les Paul Standard with a 17° head angle with a mahogany neck, a 2-top maple body top and 1-piece mahogany body back, Nashville Tune-O-Matic, top hat-shaped knob, and other details. The body is a maple 2-top body top with a mahogany 1-piece body back.

The fat, mid-pitched sound produced by the heavy, high-quality mahogany wood contains overtones and responds to distortion with exquisite response without losing its tonal character. It is equipped with Tim Shaw's NEW PAF, which has been gaining popularity in recent years, and features a beautiful vintage-like sound like a bell ringing. The neck is a 60's style thin neck, which is a vintage Les Paul standard with excellent playability.
