~A Thorough Comparison of 13 Guitars Including Pre-War Models Up to 1998~
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Martin / 1973 D-45
Featuring abalone shell inlays, the vertical logo exclusive to 40s models, and rich resonance, the D-45 represents Martin's pinnacle.
It's a coveted guitar, and many dream of owning one someday.
This particular D-45 utilizes exceptionally rare wood.
ーFine-grained German Spruce
This dreadnought model features a German spruce top.
The finely grained, quarter-sawn spruce boasts a look worthy of the pinnacle.
The body's edge features white celluloid alongside abalone shell purfling.

The rosette around the soundhole also features luxurious abalone shell inlay.

The sides and back feature straight-grained Indian rosewood.
The 1970s saw a famous specification change due to the Washington Convention, switching from Brazilian rosewood to Indian rosewood (some models retained Brazilian rosewood).
Like the top, the sides and back also feature abalone shell inlays.

The fingerboard uses jet-black ebony, enhanced by luxurious hexagon inlays crafted from abalone shell.
Enjoy its varied shimmer as you change viewing angles.

The neck is crafted from mahogany, featuring a soft V-shape that gradually increases in thickness from the low frets to the high frets.
The neck has been repaired due to cracking.

The ebony down-bowed bridge is fitted with a short saddle.

The rosewood veneer headstock features a square shape and is adorned with white celluloid.
The C.F. Martin vertical logo (commonly known as the vertical logo) is simply irresistible.

It features Grover 102 tuning machines.
Their stable tuning provides peace of mind.

Meticulously hand-inlaid with fine abalone shell and crafted from carefully selected woods, this instrument offers not only luxury but also a rich, resonant sound that envelops you.
