Attractive taut, strong-core sound made entirely of maple wood

　The Gibson L6-S was released in 1973, and was renamed the L6-S CUSTOM around the same time as the release of the low-priced L6-S DELUXE around 1975.

　This model was very rare model for Gibson, using maple neck and maple body, and it has a strong attack peculiar to maple wood and a solid core with a good sound. In addition to the volume and tone controls for each pickup, a 6-position tone selector switch is provided, allowing for a variety of sounds such as phase-out sounds in addition to the individual pickup sounds.

　This guitar is known to have been used by Carlos Santana and Keith Richards, and a reissue model is also available. This guitar is popular for its unique looks and a sound that sets it apart from other Gibson models. People around you may say, "Oh, it's a Gibson? But if you get hooked on this unique sound, you will be addicted to it.
