Beautiful condition, down-berried J-50 in stock!
Gibson / 1968 J-50
Late 1960's, 14 degree head angle, narrow neck.
The nut width is less than 40mm, and the neck is thin and has a thin grip.
The pickguard is a thick large type with double-lined triple Cruson tuners.
The fingerboard and down belly style bridge are made of rosewood.
The saddle is also rosewood, and its combination with the neck gives it a quick response and a fairly sharp tone.
Recommended to enjoy the sharp vintage Gibson sound.
[CONDITION]
It is in very clean condition with the gloss of the original finish remaining. It is very rare to maintain such a good condition after 55 years of age. It is also very cool to see that it has been moderately played.
The truss rod cover and bridge pins have been replaced.
Other than this, the condition of the neck and wood has been inspected and adjusted by a professional acoustic guitar craftsman and all parts are in excellent condition.
The neck has been straightened and tuned with no chatter or jamming, and the strings are set at the 12th fret at an optimal height of 2.5 mm on the 6th string and 2.0 mm on the 1st string.
