Well-balanced vintage jazzBass1966 Fender JAZZ BASS with a great sound.
In 1965, Leo Fender and Don Randall sold Fender to CBS.
With the change from a small business to a large company, previous proponents thought that the production of high quality instruments based on handcrafting would cease. However, this was overturned by a promise made to the Fender staff to "carry on Leo's work and continue to produce high quality instruments.
This 1966 Jazz Bass is an early CBS sale, with paddle pegs, no neck binding, and dot position marks.
This model is a rich sound with warmth and presence in its fatness, which is a strong reminder of Leo Fender's handcrafting philosophy.
Weighing only 4.0 kg, this is a relatively lightweight model, and the rich overtones from the neck and body resonance are a pleasant sensation that can only be experienced with vintage guitars.
The good thing about the '66s is that it outputs a wide range of sound in the '60s.
This guitar has a very good balance in all registers, and can be used for a wide range of sound making, such as modern sound suitable for singing, slapping, etc.
It has been refretted and has good playability. This is a good choice for bassists who want to have a "one-of-a-kind instrument that can be used in the field with confidence"!
