This is a reissue of the 1963 model with a large guard, but this is Gibson! It has been arranged to meet modern needs.
Scalloped bracing, separate white button pegs, slotted saddle, one ring, and orange label. The 17° head angle and large pickguard are also typical of this model.
The neck grip is U-shaped and thick. It resonates a powerful sound that only a slotted saddle can produce, with rich bass and sparkling highs. The neck feel and core sound are very solid, The neck feel, core, and thumping sound are rather reminiscent of the essence of the 1950s. The crisp and clear tone typical of the Gibson J-45 is still present.
The body top and head are checkered due to its age over 20 years since it was made in 2002. The paint of this period is apparently different compared to the current one, It often has this kind of austere checkered appearance. Some of the paint will peel off, though, This piece is in very good condition and has a great look. This special feeling makes the J-45 even more of a joy to play.
This is a definite piece not only for Gibson lovers, but also for first time Gibsons.
