Fat neck style 1960 J-200
Gibson / 1960 J-200
1960 J-200 in sunburst color.
Gibson has a characteristic of thinner neck grip since 1960, but this one has a moderately thick and rounded neck shape commonly seen on the previous year's '59.
The neck has been in very good condition since it arrived, and close inspection shows that the neck has been reset and oversprayed accordingly.
It can also be seen that the fretboard end has been clogged and oversprayed only around that area.
The pickguard has probably been reapplied as well.
However, the sunburst color of the body has faded moderately and has a bright taste and vintage atmosphere.
The Hakaranda bridge has been over-lacquered.
The bridge plate has been replaced with one of the same shape, and the neck/body area has been carefully maintained.
The crack on the upper left side of the pickguard has been repaired/reinforced since it arrived at our store.
This '60 J-200 has a fat neck and great sound, and has been well cared for by previous players and the craftsmen who maintained it. Very nice.
[Condition.]
The neck and wood have been inspected and adjusted by a professional acoustic guitar craftsman and are in excellent condition in all areas.
The neck has been straightened and adjusted with no chatter or jamming, and the string height at the 12th fret is optimally set at 2.5mm on the 6th string side and 2.0mm on the 1st string side.
The saddle height remains about 5mm to 6mm, which is quite generous.
