Gibson / 1959 J-45
"A J-45 in a Rare Finish"

Introduced in 1942, the J-45 features a round body and now reigns as Gibson's flagship acoustic guitar, with vintage models enjoying particularly high popularity.
- A color scheme exclusive to 1959 to early 1960
The body top is crafted from spruce, and the round body shape is finished in a 3-tone sunburst.
This color scheme was produced only for a brief period from 1959 to 1960, and this instrument boasts a beautiful finish where the red tones remain vivid.

The sides and back are crafted from tightly grained mahogany.
It features a brown finish that preserves the fine pores and grain pattern of the mahogany.

The fingerboard features rosewood with beautiful flowing grain.

The neck is mahogany, offering a comfortable grip without being too thick.
Its shape allows for stress-free playing without any discomfort.

The rosewood upper bout bridge was modified to a short saddle starting in 1953, and this instrument also follows that specification change, using a short saddle.
The warm, crisp sound that resonates throughout the entire body is a characteristic unique to this bridge.

The pickguard specification changed from a small pickguard to a large pickguard starting in 1955.

The headstock features Gibson's silk-screen logo, with the headstock angle set at 17 degrees.

It is equipped with white-button Kluson triple-locking tuners.
Although the tuners have been replaced, the previous owner's attention to detail is evident in the choice of the same type to maintain the original aesthetic.

The cherry finish remains vivid and the instrument is in exceptionally beautiful condition.
The 1959 model is particularly popular as a transitional model, especially compared to the 1960 model, due to specification changes like the bridge.
We invite you to experience the charm of this instrument.
