The bell is not original and has been replaced with an unlacquered 43 bell (steel wire bead) that appears to have been made in the mid-1990s. There are some water spots and discoloration, but no dents, no history of modification, and no corrosion due to rust. The body has been relacquered (repainted), but the lacquer paint is already peeling. The finger hooks on the leadpipe are slightly deformed (as is). Brass valve guides, No. 3 valve bottom cap, and No. 3 extractor tube stopper rod screws are not original.Piston airtight is a little loose but does not interfere with normal playing.Cleaned inside and outside. All soft parts have been replaced and all parts have been serviced.
Piston and inner felt have been replaced. The piston and inner felt are made of pressed felt that we order for Bach from the viewpoint of alignment stability and durability. The thickness of the felt isfine-tuned for individual differences.
[Features]
This one has a 1969 early elkhart back body with a reset 43 bell from the 1990s. The unlacquered bell matches the body with the lacquer peeled off, and there is no sense of discomfort as if a brand new bell was reattached. It has the open and open tone of a 43 bell and a comfortable feel with just the right amount of humility.
