A set of old tabor drum body, old leather, and maki-e box from the Edo period

A set of old otsutsumi drum bodies, old leather, and a maki-e box.
The drum barrel was made in the Edo period. The maki-e on the drum barrel was probably re-marked around the Meiji period (1868-1912).
The maki-e is decorated with a starling bird and a bamboo. The weight is 716 grams.

The planing is done in 16 steps both on the upper and lower sides of the barrel.
Vertical striations of kanna-me can be seen between the nests as well.

The old skin of the large drum is included, although it is not practical. A dobukuro (body bag), kagashio (cord), and a lacquer-lacquered box are included.
