Old kotsuzumi drum bodies made from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period

Kotsuzumi (small drum) body. The body was made from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period. The maki-e on the body is thought to have been re-done in later years. The weight is 395 grams.
The inner surface of the inner barrel (kake) is decorated with vertical stripes on both the top and bottom. Comes with a black lacquered paulownia box.
