OD-9 Overdrive (Black Label/JRC4558D)

This is the Japanese version of the TS9, the OD-9 with the popular "JRC4558D/glossy"!

It adds rich harmonics and pleasant compression without destroying the original sound. The OD-9 is a domestic version of the "Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer". There is a difference in the cast shape of the case between the early '81-2 and the late '83-4 models. Also, the back label is black until the middle of '82, but it changes to white (silver) after that. The op-amps used were also changed from JRC2043DD to JRC4558D to Toshiba TA75558P. Compared to the previous generation TS808 (JRC4558D) equipped product, the OD-9 with the tone constant change has a longer high end and low end, and especially rich low frequency range, resulting in a punchy and nouveau sound. This model was manufactured around 1982.
