[Outline]
Martin vintage alto saxophone, The Martin (Committy 3). Soldado tone holes. Movable thumb hook. Matching neck (serial number stamped and matching the body). Lacquered finish (repainted). 1947. accessories: used GAWA gig bag (soft).

[Condition.]
Repainted (relacquer). There are some solder marks on the neck joint tube and some dents on the body. All keys disassembled and cleaned inside and outside, all tampos (CHANU plastic booster), corks and felts replaced, overhauled and adjusted.

[Features]
An early production of The Martin(*) alto, one of the most popular Martin saxophones. Art Pepper, a giant of modern jazz, used The Martin as his favorite saxophone, and he called it "the most popular saxophone in the world.Meets the rhythm sectionandModern Art, Art Pepper Returnsand "Modern Art, Art Pepper Returns". The body with soldered tone holes produces a dense, rich tone that is very appealing. This is an item released by a veteran player.

The Martin is called Committee III because it was produced following Handcraft Committee I and Handcraft Committee II.
