This is a psychedelic compound effect pedal made by Shin-ei Electric (Shin-ei) in the '70s!
In addition to the usual volume/wah pedal functions, this pedal also has the ability to produce sounds like waves, wind, and sirens. This model may have been created under the influence of surf music that was popular at the time. Looking at the construction, the pedal part is similar to the early Univibe models. This model was produced on an OEM basis and released by several different brands. The wave sound, wind (storm? =noise) sounds are adjustable in volume and can be switched between each. In addition, a siren sound can be added on top of both sounds. The wah works in reverse (toe on for 'w', heel on for 'wah') and the volume pedal/noise sound works in the normal way (gets louder as you step on it). It may be a pedal that is nowadays treated as something quite eccentric. I love the gap between the high quality Shin-ei pedal and the unprecedented character of this pedal. The siren (for some reason, the first shot is not very good) has the effect of amplifying the sense of urgency of the situation, and it is very addictive. The condition is also good, there are 2 set screws (hand-turned) and the battery snap has been replaced, but everything else is probably fully original. This is truly an item for the Effector enthusiast.
