2018 TAK MATSUMOTO Les Paul Standard 2018

TAK Matsumoto is the guitarist of B'z, a monster rock band representing Japan. The 1999 Gibson TAK Matsumoto Les Paul Canary Yellow is the fifth signature model released by Gibson and the first Asian to be a Gibson signature model. In the year of the 20th anniversary of the Les Paul and the 30th anniversary of B'z, this first signature model was refined and released again by Custom Shop in a limited edition of 150 pieces, the 2018 TAK MATSUMOTO Les Paul Standard 2018. It features a canary yellow body top, the color used on Ferraris from the original image of the gold-top Les Paul. The body has a chambered construction, which gives the sound a fullness on the rise of the note, a sound that only a chambered body can give. The pickups are Custom Buckers, which have excellent high frequency characteristics despite their humbucking characteristics, and the sound is crisp and clear, and can also be used with fat distortion. The neck was made by refining the neck of his own 59 Les Paul, commonly known as the Burst, and has a fat, grippier neck than the 1999 version. This Les Paul model allows you to experience the evolution of Takahiro Matsumoto's signature model, which is stepping into a higher level as he gets older.
