A top-of-the-line 1937 D-28 faithfully reproduced
Martin / 2015 D-28 Authentic 1937 VTS
The "Authentic" series reproduces vintage Martin guitars from the 1930s to 1940s, known as the Golden Era.
The D-28 Authentic 1937 VTS is a top of the line acoustic guitar that is known for its attention to detail, including the gluing of the skin and T-Bar rods, which are made in the same way as in those days, and is a must-have for Martin freaks and vintage enthusiasts.
This 2015 model is from the beginning of the introduction of VTS.
The top of the guitar is made of Adirondack spruce, which is similar to the cellular structure of aged vintage Martin tops, and is the same material used to make the guitar sound like a guitar that has been played for a long time.
Madagascar rosewood is used for the side backs.
The back is a cream color with a strong exotic grain and elegant and supple grain, giving it a strong presence.
On the other hand, the sides of the body are quarter-sawn with a lot of grain.
The gap between the two is very impressive.
The bracing is the same forward-shifted scalloped bracing used on the 1937 D-28.
The dynamic sound of this model, which can be called a top-of-the-line D-28, is wonderful, and you can fully enjoy its full sound with a lot of bounce and volume.
In particular, each note has a luster, and it is very impressive how rich the tone spreads even when the strings are plucked lightly.
Even if you usually play only chord strokes, try playing arpeggios with a pick. It will change your world.
From the selected woods, to the construction, to the playability, to the sound,
This is a great guitar packed with Martin's history and technology.
