Gibson Custom Shop / 2005 Historic Collection Southern Jumbo with L.R. Baggs Lyric

Gibson's popular round-shoulder model, Southern Jumbo.
This model is positioned as a higher level model of the also popular J-45.

The double parallelogram position marks, cell binding on the fingerboard, and maple body trim give it a sense of originality and luxury.

This time, we have just received an individual made in 2005.
It features a large pickguard, 20th fret, scalloped bracing, short saddle upper belly bridge, and Gotoh open back tuners.

The neck of many Southern Jumbos from this period are a bit thin, but this one has a slightly rounded neck that feels like it is between a 59 and 60 neck.

It has a wide-range dynamic sound, especially the treble part is sparkling, which I think is a tone characteristic of this period.
In addition to that, the midrange has a lot of color and character, which is very nice.

Equipped with L.R.Baggs Lyric, it is sure to be useful for live performances and recordings with LINE output.

The extreme feature is the exotic rosewood grains used for the fingerboard and bridge.
It is a very special piece that is exciting in appearance as well, as if an option had been added.

- There are no cracks, crack repairs, or any other noticeable damage, and the appearance is very clean considering its age of 20 years.
